For Orbit and all other .700-inch tubing from major manufacturers, Drip-Lock fittings are recommended due to their ease of insertion and release. These fittings are intended for outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.
When making connections for 1/2-inch drip tubing in a variety of landscape designs, the barb inserts into the tubing, and the collar threads around the pipe to provide a secure seal. The barb and collar design allows the fittings to be removable and reusable.
